Christophe’s Arc is the first feature-length
project from the award-winning film-making team of director
Christopher Banks and producer Andy Jalfon, to be released in
2012. From Paris to Bordeaux, and back to New
Zealand,
we follow acclaimed bear artist Christophe Jannin as he
struggles to find inspiration and a new sense of community after
a personal betrayal. Locked in a world of
fantasy inside his suburban workroom, Christophe is forced to
emerge when he accepts an invitation to design a new logo for
Bordeaux's premier bear hangout, L'Ours Marin (The Marine Bear).
In a journey that takes him across the world
to his native France and back to his new Kiwi home and partner,
Christophe learns to celebrate his renaissance as an illustrator
who brings together masculinity, ancient symbols, and the spirit
of bear brotherhood from two very different nations.
